Phoenixes and arabesque patterns are embroidered throughout with shimmering thread, creating a gorgeous impression overall, along with the detailed patterns. Some of the floral patterns have a three-dimensional, shibori-like effect, and they sparkle like glitter. There is a signature. The wide collar has snap buttons, and the lining (hakkake) features a patterned design with a single point. This was tailored at a kimono shop that handles Tango chirimen (a type of silk crepe), and it has been stored in a Japanese chest of drawers without being used, so the basting threads are still attached.
