According to the instructions, the included ink can be used for approximately 20-25 hand and foot impressions for babies up to about six months old. I have used it 13 times, but there was no blurring, so I think it can still be used. The ink color is originally light gray, but the ink adheres well if you apply it to the stamp film several times. I used the acrylic plate without removing the protective film that came with it when I purchased it, so I couldn't find any scratches. It was very convenient because you can easily take hand and footprints without getting your baby's hands and feet or yourself dirty!
