It's a soft leather, like lambskin. The color is a deep skin tone (like a deep skin-tone liquid foundation). There is some soiling on the surface. Please check photos 3 and 4 for stains near the inner zipper and on the bottom. I believe I purchased this from a Baycrews-affiliated shop.
