No writing. Some yellowing on the edges of the front and back covers. While there is some evidence of use, there are no creases, and I think it's in good condition for a used book. The overall structure is a collection of various letter formats and example sentences, compatible with both brush and pen writing. The highlight is the letters from skilled calligraphers of the Showa era that the author received (images 4-6). The encounter between the author and his teacher, Mr. Shiko Takami, is also a highlight. I will supplement the full names of the calligraphers introduced in image 5, as they are not listed. In order: Suiken Suzuki, Fukuma Kokubo, Kanzan Karita, and Shingyo Ozawa. Mr. Karita's New Year's card is eye-catching, though small.
