These are decorations made by threading beads onto safety pins, also known as bead flags. They were found while sorting through my mother-in-law's belongings. I believe she often made them to prevent cognitive decline. They have been stored at home for a long time, so the safety pins are discolored, and as shown in photos 6 and 7, some beads are missing or perhaps were never attached. There are other imperfections as well. Back then, she sold them for 400 yen each and used the money for coffee. I hope they can help cover the cost of incense.
