I purchased this from an authorized retailer and used it for about 4 years. Since both my car and house have touch keys, I rarely took it out of my bag. I don't wear denim either, so I never attached it to my waist, although it seems many people usually do. This is a used item, not new. There are some fine scratches, but they're not very noticeable. Please refrain from purchasing if you are overly concerned about this. I've replaced it with something else, so I hope someone will take it. It has developed a nice patina and looks great.
