The display in the viewfinder works without any problems. It almost perfectly matched the exposure meter of the digital SLR I'm using. The exterior shows some scuffs and shine, and there is some minor dust inside the viewfinder, but it's not severe. There is slight light leakage in the lower part of the viewfinder's LCD, in the upper left corner above the metering mode display, and in the lower right corner.
