Compared to down, Polygon can be worn without worrying about getting wet from rain, etc., and is easy to care for as it can be washed in a washing machine. It packs down quite compactly. It doesn't have as much loft as down and isn't as warm, so it's a moderate active insulation suitable for wearing during breaks in summer or in mountain huts.
