In response to popular demand, I've decided to add to the lineup the fly pattern I use most often in all sorts of situations. Its name is Light Game Special. Initially, I planned to sell only a few sets, but I've made some material changes and made it a standard item. Please enjoy fly fishing with spinning tackle. The hook is a Japanese-made, barbless #10 hook with a thin, resilient shank, prioritizing hooking. Because the hook is small, a slightly looser drag is recommended. The body is ice dubbed to create a shimmering, transparent effect. The wings use the highest quality polar bear hair, and the tying is done to make the silhouette as slim and compact as possible. Environmentally friendly lead-free design. If you're targeting rockfish or horse mackerel, this is a highly effective fly that can handle it all. It truly shines when "fish are present but are ignoring craft fur flies" (assuming they are actively feeding). Also, due to its silhouette and transparency, it's a strong fly when fish are selectively feeding on tiny silversides. On the other hand, other flies may have more appeal because this fly is tied to be thin and delicate. The method of use is the same as the flies I've offered before: simply "retrieve steadily" in combination with a sinker. Also, rather than tying the line directly to the eye, I recommend using a double figure-eight knot like a kabura. In that case, set it so the hook point faces upwards.
