I love antique Taisho Roman-style kimonos and purchased this embroidered han-eri (collar) a few years ago at a department store. I believe it's made of polyester. I sweated in it, so I removed it from the juban (undershirt) immediately after use and had it dry cleaned. I didn't see any stains, dirt, or damage, but I'm just a regular person looking it over, so there might be something I missed.
