I am selling this item to organize my collection. I have left it untouched for about 5 years, so I tested its operation before listing it. It works without any problems and produces good sound. The tape REC headphone is unconfirmed. The front panel has no scratches and is gleaming. The wood case also has a nice shine and is in very good condition, but please check the images. This is a very rare vintage Marantz. This is an integrated amplifier that pursues TIM (Transient Intermodulation Distortion) and transient intermodulation distortion. The power amplifier section uses Marantz's traditional DC configuration, a pure complementary OCL parallel push-pull 3-stage Darlington circuit, and custom low-noise components. Furthermore, a differential amplification cascode bootstrap circuit using low-noise FETs is adopted in the first stage of this power amplifier, minimizing temperature drift and time drift, which are problems with DC amplifiers. This achieves excellent phase characteristics and transmission capability over a wide bandwidth from ultra-low frequencies to ultra-high frequencies, and in addition, it eliminates phase distortion in the ultra-low frequencies and improves the bare characteristics, successfully putting the Low TIM concept into practice. It is equipped with the ESP circuit adopted in the P510M. This ESP circuit instantaneously detects excessive output current/voltage and DC generation at the output terminals, limits the signal to the driver transistors to a safe value, and protects against overdrive and short circuits. Moreover, it detects frequency and time with instantaneous differentiation and continuously provides protection without interrupting the program. Furthermore, it is equipped with a relay that also includes a delay circuit (4 seconds) to prevent shock noise caused by turning on the power, and in the event of a transistor failure, the speakers are automatically disconnected. In actual program playback, the transient peaks in sources such as direct cutting with a wide dynamic range can exceed the average level by +10dB to +20dB (10 to 100 times). It is equipped with a peak indicator that responds instantaneously to such peaks, making level adjustment easy and preventing clipping. The equalizer amplifier consists of a differential input amplifier using custom low-noise components, a buffer amplifier, and a low-current load A-class amplifier with a 5Tr configuration.
