This is a shimekazari (sacred straw rope decoration) made with this year's rice straw. Try making your own original shimekazari decorations with Daio-matsu (small), Jyanome-matsu, nandina, peacock cypress, and nuts. The last photo is an example of a finished work. When shipping, the ends of the shimekazari will be bent to fit in the box. They will return to their original shape when wet. The nandina berries may fall off. Thank you for your understanding.
