The inside of the lid (the underside of the lid) features gold leaf autumn leaves. This creates a gorgeous, joyful feeling the moment you open the lid. These are auspicious and celebratory bowls. They are recommended not only for Kaiseki cuisine but also for serving warm sweets like zenzai. This set includes five bowls, presented in a paulownia wood box. The box has some stains. The bowls are unused and in beautiful condition. In the photos, the red parts appear closer to a bright red, but the actual color is a deeper vermillion.
