I purchased this new when it was first released. I played it a few times, but then got busy and stored it in a dark place. A protective sheet is on the screen. The power and software (UMD?) work, and the buttons function, though a little sluggish. Sound came from the earphones, but I don't know if the earphone remote works, or if the unit can be charged (as I was testing while the adapter was plugged in).
