This is a long bag for a Tsugaru-jamisen (shamisen). I listed a few of these last winter, and this one has a fluffy inner lining. It's a thick bag overall. The outer fabric is from an unused formal kimono. It's a thick, puffed weave. There was a signature mark, so perhaps a well-known person hand-painted the flowers.
