It's made as a single-layer garment, but since it's not a summer fabric, it can be used in all seasons except mid-summer. Okaju's Silook kae-sode (replacement sleeves) are often sold for around ¥19,800 or more, so I think this is a good value. I washed it with a detergent for fashionable clothes, used fabric softener, spun it for 1 minute, hung it on a pole, and measured it without ironing, but there was no shrinkage.
