This is a plate from a JNR (Japanese National Railways) Class 9600 steam locomotive, formerly used by the Taiwan Railway Administration. I purchased this item about 35 years ago, when it was sold off from the railway. It measures approximately 23 x 64 cm and is about 1 cm thick. I researched it online and found out that it was a vehicle number that was active in Taiwan. I forgot about it in storage since I bought it, so it has the original dirt and grime. It has the kind of dirt you'd expect on an actual piece of equipment. The number "5" is written in chalk in the center. It's just as it was when I bought it. It's a very heavy item, and it's in my family's storage, so it may be difficult to answer questions promptly. The paint is damaged, so some of the paint may flake off during transport. Searching for DT619, I found on Wikipedia that it was a vehicle rebuilt in Taiwan from a combination of parts from retired vehicles. This is a plate that was actually used, so it is quite dirty.
