1930's? Vintage Japanese Kimono Textile Antique item. A very rare, unsewn maru obi fabric. One roll can make a Nagoya obi and a hanhaba obi. Also suitable for remaking. Approximately 70cm wide, and since it's large, I haven't measured the length. If you need it, I'll do my best to measure it, but please give me some time. If it doesn't sell for a while, I'm thinking of having it made into a Nagoya obi and a hanhaba obi myself. Left in the photo: The thinner, gold one. If made into an obi, it can be used as a summer obi even today; it's light because it's thin. There are some slightly stained areas, but I feel it would be wearable if cleaned and made into an obi (this is my subjective opinion as a vintage collector). Right in the photo: The striped one. It's heavy, like a tapestry. As you can see in the photo, there is one large stain, but otherwise, there don't seem to be any major stains. If cleaned and made into a Nagoya obi without lining or core, it seems wearable. Although it would be heavy. It's a shame to leave it sleeping like this, so I would be happy to pass it on to someone who likes it. As it is a long item, I am considering how to pack it for shipping.
