This is a Kokeshi doll of a girl wearing a lovely floral kimono (plum blossoms?). She has a closed-eyed expression. It's a somehow healing Kokeshi doll, this is just my personal impression, please understand. I am not knowledgeable about this item. Please confirm with the images. Sato Suigai was a Japanese painter who studied under Komuro Suiun and received the character "翠" (Sui) to name himself Suigai. I believe this is a work from over 40 years ago, but please forgive me if I am mistaken. We appreciate your understanding of its condition.
