Fabrics may vary depending on the location, as I sometimes use multiple kimono fabrics. Items will be shipped folded compactly. Silk is excellent at absorbing and releasing moisture, quick-drying, and retaining heat, keeping you cool in the summer and warm in the winter. It is also said to have benefits for beautiful skin and UV protection. I use silk kimonos. To determine if it is silk, I consider the feel of the fabric, whether it is hand-sewn, and perform a burn test. I consider fading and discoloration to be part of the charm of vintage items.
