This is a gift from my American mother-in-law. It came as a set with baby clothes. It fastens with snaps, so I don't think it's good for the newborn stage when the baby is lying down because it will press against their back. I think it will be good for when the baby can sit up, and during the weaning period or when they start teething and drooling a lot.
