The tea chest design has a wavy mouth and a sharp impression with thin horizontal stripes on the sides. Also, the lid becomes a tray with a ginkgo leaf design. The tea chest is an item in which my aunt, who was a hobbyist of "Urasenke" tea ceremony, initially kept the tea utensils for "Bonryaku-demae," and later kept the sencha utensils. The condition of the "sencha tea bowls" is excellent, with no scratches or chips, and is generally very clean. The condition of the "tea chest" has slight scratches on the front side of the lid (photo 13) and part of the inside side (photo 19). The bottom of the "tea chest" is very clean because cloth was laid on it.
