This fabric is inspired by Takamatsu Hariko (Takamatsu papier-mâché), a traditional local toy from Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture. Takamatsu Hariko has been made since the late Edo period, and the servant lion is popular as an auspicious symbol that wishes for the healthy growth of children. I opened it once to check it for this listing. There are some fold marks, but it is in good condition without any scratches or stains.
