I'm not sure of the category, but this is a RICOH film camera. I used to use it a lot, as I was into toy cameras up until about 7 years ago. It was kept in a case, so it's in basically pristine condition with no scratches. The urethane foam on the inside, as indicated by the finger, has deteriorated. I think it should be fine if you replace it with something commercially available.
