☆ This is a "gozame-ami" (woven with a mat pattern) bamboo colander, made by carefully splitting fresh madake bamboo (from Fukuoka Prefecture) into strips and meticulously chamfering each one.
☆ The rim is wrapped and secured with 2mm-wide Yamato binding.
☆ This is a domestically-made bamboo colander with excellent drainage and breathability. Bamboo colanders are ideal for cooking because they don't easily form a film of water, allowing for quick drainage, and they are also heat-resistant. Furthermore, they are made of natural materials, so they are safe to use.
☆ It can be used in any season, and its delicate weave is beautiful, so you can display it as storage (^^)
- Spring = tempura of rapeseed flowers, etc.
- Summer = zaru soba, zaru udon, pickled plums
- Autumn = roasted sweet potatoes and dried vegetables
- Winter = place a lot of vegetables for hot pot directly on the table
