Shiroiwake Ware Waheigama, Pottery by Aoi Watanabe Shiroiwake Ware was established in the Edo period and became a major pottery center, but closed down in the Meiji period. About 70 years later, Mr. Watanabe's parents revived it and opened Waheigama. Currently, it is the only kiln of Shiroiwake Ware.
