Wajima-nuri lacquerware, made by Shosai Sato. This is a Kinrin-ji (a type of tea caddy) with autumn grass maki-e (sprinkled picture). It depicts flowers such as Japanese pampas grass, bush clover, and Chinese bellflowers. There are no noticeable scratches or stains, but there may be some minor scuffs due to aging.
