This eliminates the sound leakage at volume 0, which is the biggest problem with the standard CTS pots. This phenomenon of sound leakage occurs because the residual resistance inside the pot is large, but the "CUSTOM CTS POT" suppresses the residual resistance, which was normally around 20Ω on average, to 4Ω or less. Furthermore, as an effect of this special material, it eliminates the muffled sound when the volume is turned down, and at full volume, it functions as if it were a "volume-through," successfully maximizing the performance of the pickup. Solid brass, which has been confirmed to improve sound quality, is used for the shaft, and the bottom part incorporates the "flat back style" seen in 50's Gibson.
