This is a wooden incense tool (incense burner box) with a gourd-shaped openwork design. Inside, there is a hand-molded ceramic incense burner with a tasteful design featuring a white base and a green glaze that appears to be flowing down. The incense burner can be taken in and out through the round opening at the top, and the expression of the vessel can be seen through the openwork on the sides. The front has a small drawer with a knob, and above it, there is a shallow sliding drawer that can be pulled out from both sides, designed to store incense wood, incense charcoal, tweezers, and other incense tools. It is believed to be from the Meiji to Taisho periods (late 19th to early 20th century) and is a piece that has atmosphere not only in the context of the art of incense but also as interior decor.
