I purchased these approximately 10 years ago. I mainly used them for walking outside on days with heavy rain or snow. The outsole is slightly worn on the outer heel. I wore them on a trip to Hokkaido this year, and I didn't experience any water seeping in. I believe the GORE-TEX is still effective, but this is just my personal experience, so please understand.
