Fujiwara Weaving was a renowned Nishijin weaving house known for its Karaori (brocade), but unfortunately, they went out of business a few years ago. The pattern, woven to appear plump like embroidery, has a three-dimensional effect and a luxurious feel, making the kimono even more elegant. With its gorgeous, classic design that makes extensive use of gold thread, it is particularly recommended for pairing with furisode (long-sleeved kimono) for coming-of-age ceremonies, weddings, and other special occasions. It creates an atmosphere of formality and splendor befitting celebratory events. It will not be outshone by yuzen-dyed kimonos or all-shibori kimonos, so it is also recommended for "Mama-furi" (wearing your mother's furisode) for your daughter. There are some areas with slight foil rubbing and minor scratches, but there are no noticeable major scratches or stains when worn.
