These are branches from over 150 pesticide-free oak trees, harvested for shiitake mushroom logs. Use them as perches for stag beetles, rhinoceros beetles, and other insects. The rough bark of the oak gives it a unique presence not found in other trees. These branches have been dried for nearly a year, unlike branches found on the ground, so there is no fungal or other infestation. The surface has been washed twice with a brush and dried. They can be used for small animals and reptiles as well as insects.
