This is a shakuhachi made by Inoue Shōzan, a master shakuhachi maker from a family with a four-generation history. It is believed to be made by the first generation Inoue Shōzan! This instrument, with finger marks still visible, was incredibly well-used by a master player of the past. It's a musical instrument from about a hundred years ago! It sounds amazing, as if the instrument remembers the sounds of the master! One shaku eight sun tube (D key). Length: approximately 545mm, weight: approximately 400g. It was used for the performance of Jiuta (traditional Japanese music) and koto music. This is a masterpiece made during the heyday of the Tsuyama school's Sankyoku ensemble, a masterpiece for the music of that era! It's the sound of THE shakuhachi! The lower sides of the finger holes on the first and third holes are shaved, like a "merikatto" (a technique to adjust the pitch) used today. The half-tones of "tsu" and "chi" (notes) often used in Jiuta are very powerful, with perfect pitch, and are easily produced! Also, above all, It has been loved and nurtured to the point where finger marks are clearly visible, and the sound comes out smoothly with a wonderful tone. Just holding the instrument, it feels natural and fits in your hand. It makes me feel very reassured, as if I can inherit the skills of my predecessors. 【Crack Prevention】 There are vertical lines on the upper tube, next to the fourth hole and below the fifth hole, but they are firmly closed, with no air leaks, and all sounds, including "otsu no ro," sound clearly.
