This is an oilcloth cover for the koto. It is a remake made from a disassembled silk crepe (tsukesage) kimono. I believe there are no noticeable stains or snags. The outer fabric is a pale pink with a sheen, and it has beautiful embroidery, resulting in a very elegant finish (^^) The lining is a smooth, new cotton fabric. It is thinner than commercially available ones. This is handmade by my mother, who worked as a dressmaker.
