Plastic snaps. The ones in the case are probably 12mm. I apologize if I'm mistaken (I measured with a ruler). I've used some of them. I think there are about 80% left. The ones in the bag are new. These are 13mm. The ones in the plastic bag are also new. Hand press. I've used it several times, but I think it works fine. I also have the original packaging from when I bought it, and there are spare parts for repairs.
