I carved the Year of the Horse (Uma), the zodiac animal for Reiwa 8 (2026), from Palo Santo, a sacred wood. It's a protective charm, just the upper part of the horse (U dake = excluding "ma"). Onyx, a natural stone, is set in the eyes. Dimensions: 37mm x 24mm ⚫︎ Uma (Year 8 of Reiwa) The horse is a symbol of strength, dynamism, success, and progress. It is also a lucky animal, bringing good fortune, from the pun "umaku iku" (to go well). ● Onyx (Black Agate) It represents unwavering belief and is said to support the achievement of goals. ● Palo Santo (Sacred Wood) It is said to ward off evil and attract good things. It is also called the (Sacred Wood) and the (Wood that brings happiness). Due to the Washington Convention, its export is restricted, and it has become very expensive.
