Unlike quartz, the transistor clock uses a single D-cell battery to drive a mechanical movement, and the ticking sound is pleasant, like a spring-driven clock. The condition shows some light soiling, scratches, and traces of battery leakage in the battery compartment, but the clock runs well and there is no damage. There is an engraving on the back cover.
