This is a guitar in progress, made by my father who enjoyed building guitars in his lifetime. There are traces of the top binding having been reapplied, and the presence of a fretted fingerboard suggests that the top may have been replaced after completion. There are no traces of a bridge having been attached. In any case, the background details are unknown. The body has an original shape, but it's a small size similar to a 00 with the thickness of a dreadnought. The top is Adirondack spruce, the sides & back are walnut, and the neck is mahogany with an adjustable truss rod, 14-fret joint, and scalloped X-bracing. In my subjective opinion, the tap tone suggests that the bracing is not detached anywhere. However, as it is a homemade item and still in progress, I am listing it as a junk item. The materials seem to be excellent. I hope to pass it on to someone who can make use of it for practice in guitar repair, woodworking, or DIY projects.
