They were stored in a dark room in their original box. The gold trim on both sides of the plates and bowls, and the gold decoration on the bowl lid handle give a retro yet luxurious feel. The design and patterns on the cutlery handles are also retro and stylish ( ◠‿◠ ) There is no rust or discoloration, and they are in very good condition.
