This instrument is made by a craftsman in Poland. The hurdy-gurdy is a mechanical stringed instrument with origins in medieval Europe. It is found throughout Europe, including Western, Eastern, and Northern Europe. It has a lute-shaped soundbox with a handle on the right end. Turning the handle with the right hand rotates a rosin-coated wheel that rubs against the strings, producing a very distinctive sound. It has multiple drone strings and produces a sound similar to bagpipes. The total length of the instrument is approximately 55cm, and the width is approximately 33.5cm. It is brand new, unused, and has been adjusted.
