The set includes a 5-sun (inch) footed shogi board, a single-legged komadai (piece stand), engraved shogi pieces, a brocade piece bag, and a komabako (piece box, with original box). The grain pattern on the end grain suggests it might be Kusu (Japanese cedar), but the weight is too heavy for Kusu, and the yellow color seems a bit too deep. There are some relatively large scratches on one end grain and one side, likely from storage. The playing surface has few marks and is in good condition. There is a "heso" (a small indentation) on the underside of the board.
