Unlike foreign versions that claim to work in Japanese, this was purchased from the Japanese online store, so it has Japanese technical compliance certification (技適). It can be serviced at domestic shops, treated the same as a carrier version, and is SIM-free, so it doesn't have unnecessary pre-installed apps. It seems they will also replace the screen film. Purchased new about two months ago. Used mainly indoors with a hinge protection cover. I was using it with a Rakuten Mobile physical SIM and an IIJmio D-type eSIM in dual SIM mode. It was working without any problems. There are no noticeable scratches, and the screen film has not been removed. The film also has no scratches. I think it's a beautiful device.
