Both are made of deep blue (lapis lazuli color) glass, and the contrast between the "peony" flower, a symbol of wealth, and the sharply cut transparent parts, like starlight, is striking, giving it a high-class impression. The edges of the dessert plates have a continuous pattern of semi-circular beads, which tightens the overall appearance of the dishes. There is no original box, so it will be shipped in a cardboard box I have on hand.
