This is a wooden box, original to Gariton, for storing Neuspiel, Ligno, and Tawa blocks. Made in Japan. One box can neatly store a set of Neuspiel, Ligno, or Tawa blocks. When storing the blocks, it looks clean when they are completely contained within the box. However, when you try to take them out, it can be difficult to pick them up, often resulting in having to flip the box over. Therefore, Gariton's original wooden box uses a method where the blocks slightly protrude from the box, allowing you to take them out without flipping the box. The back of the box has side panels that are slightly longer than the bottom panel. When the blocks are placed in the wooden box, they slightly protrude upwards. When stacking the boxes, the side panels of the upper box interlock with the blocks in the lower box, making it difficult for them to shift forward, backward, or sideways. Also, the dimensions are such that the blocks protruding from the wooden box do not touch the bottom panel of the box above, so when stacked, the weight of the upper box is applied to the side panels and not to the blocks themselves.
