This is a handmade mat that can be used on both sides. ◯ Size: Approximately 30x66cm The front side is a patchwork of three types of fabric: old indigo-dyed cotton with katazome (stencil dyeing), striped cotton, and kasuri cotton, with a touch of safflower cotton. The back side is a deep navy persimmon-dyed fabric with a very cute lily of the valley pattern (it was difficult to sew because the persimmon dye had been applied many times, making it hard for the needle to pass through). A Japanese tenugui (hand towel) is used as the core, and it's bound together with sashiko stitching in orange and red.
