There were some rhinestones attached, but they have all come off. The gray circles are where they were. If you scrape at them, the gray adhesive might come off, but I haven't removed it. If you are concerned, please either attach your own stones, remove the adhesive, or be aware that it doesn't bother me as is. Also, my child loved wearing it a lot, and there is a feeling of wear overall, such as fuzzing of the fabric, yellowing and stains on the sleeves and arms, and fraying.
