This is a goshuin-cho (stamp book) for the 88 temples of the Shikoku Pilgrimage. It contains the goshuin (temple stamps) from all 88 temples, starting from the first temple. These are very valuable, as they are only obtained by visiting the temples in person and praying. I once heard a story about someone who wanted to visit the temples but couldn't due to poor health. They would look at this goshuin-cho and pray, imagining they had actually visited the temples. It seems there are many people like this, especially among the elderly.
