Paxton & Whitfield is a cheese shop established in 1797 and is the oldest in the UK, having been granted a Royal Warrant by Queen Victoria in 1850. This is a 100g jar specifically for Stilton (one of the world's three major blue cheeses), which was also a favorite of Queen Elizabeth II. I received this as a souvenir and, after finishing the cheese, I displayed it for a while because of its lovely design, but I am now selling it to declutter. The black and gold packaging has a sophisticated design that matches the shop's exterior (images 3 & 4). *Images 2 & 3 show a 250g jar with a handle on the lid, but the 100g jar being sold does not have a handle on the lid. *The item for sale is the empty jar in images 1 and 6-12; there are no other accessories. *The gold lettering may appear black due to light reflection, but there is no paint loss. *Image 10 shows a small scratch on the side of the lid. It is not very noticeable, and since the lid is simply placed on top, you can position it so the scratch is not visible from the front. *Please check images 11 & 12 for the size.
