This is a set of two antique magewappa (bentwood) containers, large and small, that were previously purchased at an antique market. They are from a private collection. The larger one is lacquered, and the smaller one is made of plain wood. Both have the "Maru ni Ni" (circle with two) mark carved on them, and are believed to have come from a storehouse. However, we were unable to determine their origin due to their age. They are likely from the Edo or Meiji period. The condition shows considerable aging, with cracks and flaking lacquer, but they have the unique charm of antiques. We recommend them to those who appreciate antiques. If you intend to use them, please refrain from using them as lunch boxes or food containers for hygiene reasons. They are better suited for use as small item containers or pin cushion boxes. Sizes: Large: W19.5cm D10cm H9cm Small: W13.5cm D7cm H6.5cm * Measured with the lids closed. We are not selling them separately, so please understand. #Antique #Magewappa #PrivateCollection #SetOf2 #MaruNiNiMark
