I bought this at a shop that sells lifestyle goods like pottery by artists, but I've forgotten the artist's name. There's an engraving on the back, but I can't make it out. The plump shape and the way the opening is narrowed create a cute form. It has a Nordic and folk art feel, and I think it would pair well with both Japanese and Western styles. It's perfect for serving with coffee as a milk pitcher, or for honey and black honey to go with pancakes or anmitsu.
